Happy New Year everyone!
I actually just reread my 29th birthday posts where I wrote about the 29 things I wanted to do differently and the follow up post about less materialistic things to do and I'm 30 now and I didn't do

A lot has changed since then though. I have been regularly going to therapy since I wasn't sure if all my stress was just stress or something more (turns out it was anxiety) and more recently we discovered that I have ADHD. TikTok is a great community of people and I'm realizing that a lot of the things I did/do that don't make sense and make me feel crummy are common in adult women with ADHD. Most women go undiagnosed because they are ADHD inattentive type and the more noticable ADHD is hyperactive type and usually found in boys.
I'm learning more about myself and I think this will be great help for me coming into my own.
My therapist and I both agree that we'd like me to be more mindful. I have a habit of thinking things will be better "when this happens" or I'l be able to do that thing I want to do "after I've reached this goal or done this thing". I'm so worried about getting to where I want to get to that I'm missing out on the present and what's happening now.
In the spirit of being mindful, I am not creating a resolution for the year, I want to make attainable monthly goals, and even weekly goals at times. These goals will be work related, home related, writing related, and self-care related.
Cheers to a new year, wish me luck!
